Bai Mudan (白牡丹) or "White Peony" is a tea from Fujian Province in China.

It is made from the top two leaves and bud of the tea plant, and like many white teas, the leaves are allowed to slowly wither and dry.

Bai Mudan has a floral aroma and a smooth velvety profile with fruity notes. 

 

Origin: Fujian Province, China.

Elevation: Grown 2000 - 4000 ft above sea level.

Tea Variety: Camellia Sinensis var. Sinensis

Cultivar: Dai Bai (大白 - Big White)

Brewing Temperature: 70 - 80 °C

Caffeine Content: Approx. 10mg per cup 

Amount: 5g of tea leaves to 100ml of water
