Baiya Qilan (白芽奇兰) translates as "White bud, unusual orchid" and is a little known Oolong Tea grown on Da Qing Mountain (大芹山) in Southern Fujian Province.
People noticed that the buds on the trees were a milky white in colour and when they brewed tea from the leaves, the tea had a rich orchid aroma with a sweet, fruity profile.
