Xue Ya Shi Xiang Oolong (雪鸭屎香 - Snow Duck Shit Aroma) is an uniquely named Oolong tea. The story goes that a tea farmer was growing some unique tea trees and to avoid them being stolen, he told people they were fertilized with "Duck Shit".
The Hanzi 雪 (Xue - snow) indicates that the tea was harvested in Winter.
The tea leaves are picked by hand and then left to wither in the sun, before further withering indoors. They are partially fermented in a large pile overnight and then follows a process of firing to increased temperatures (180°C degrees and 230°C) and rolling (which releases essential oils) which give the tea it's "Dancong taste"
This tea has a clear taste with a sweet almond profile. It has a unique rich flower aroma and long lasting sweet aftertaste.
