Rukeri Estate is Rwanda's largest tea estate, and is located in the northern part of the country in the area of the Rukeri valley.

Rwanda Rukeri BP1 compares well to a full bodied Assam or Kenyan tea as it possesses hints of malt, molasses and wine together with a delicate astringency. A lovely tea, good for drinking with breakfast.

Origin: Rukeri, Byumba, Northern Province, Rwanda

Elevation: Grown up to 5500ft - 6500ft above sea level.

Tea Variety: Camellia Sinensis var. Assamica

Tea Leaf Grade:  Broken Pekoe 1 (BP1)

Brewing Temperature: 100°C

Caffeine Content: Approx. 27- 35mg per cup
