Shoumei Dragon Pearl Tea (寿眉龙珠茶 - Shoumei Long Zhu Cha) is an interesting white tea that has darker leaves than other white teas. Shoumei translates as "long life eyebrow" and refers to the shape of the dried tea leaves.
Tips and upper leaves are left to wither naturally and then rolled into the "Dragon Pearl". Chinese Dragons are often depicted with a "Flaming Pearl" under their chin which represents wisdom and spiritual energy.
Shoumei has a fruity profile with hints of vanilla with a taste similar to some Oolong Teas.
